Epidural Steroid Injection
You are scheduled to have an Epidural Steroid Injection. The nurse will take your blood pressure, temperature and start your I.V. You will remain in the same location with a family member or friend until a nurse comes to take you to the procedure room. Once in the procedure room, you will have your blood pressure and oxygen monitored. The anesthesiologist will have you lie down or sit up with your back arched. The injection itself takes 5-10 minutes to complete. You will remain in the procedure area following the injection for approximately 30 minutes. When the feeling of numbness is gone, the nurse will call the anesthesiologist to release you. If you have any questions, please call our office at 757 596-1900. |
